About the Book
WE'VE INHERITED ONE WAY OF THINKING ABOUT POWER.
WHAT IF HISTORY, PSYCHOLOGY AND REAL-WORLD EVIDENCE POINT TO A DIFFERENT BLUEPRINT?
For centuries, our understanding of power has been shaped by influential thinkers, political philosophers and bestselling authors. Today, Robert Greene's The 48 Laws of Power remains one of the most widely recognised modern interpretations of how power is acquired and maintained.
True Power builds on that conversation, and asks a different question.
WHAT CREATES POWER THAT TRULY ENDURES?
True Power is an evidence-led re-examination of modern thinking about power, drawing on history, psychology, philosophy, empirical research and decades of real-world observation to explore how power is truly built, protected, sustained and ultimately lost.
It is not a rejection of the study of power.
It is an invitation to rethink it.
Inside True Power
What You'll Discover
About the Author
For more than two decades, Cassandra Harris has built businesses and worked alongside founders, investors, family offices and some of the world's most influential individuals. Those experiences provided a rare opportunity to observe power where it matters most, not only in theory, but in practice.
Over time, she began questioning many of the assumptions that have shaped our understanding of power. True Power was written to challenge inherited assumptions, rethink the nature of power and explore a different blueprint, one grounded in evidence, observation and enduring influence rather than manipulation alone. It is an invitation to reconsider one of humanity's most influential forces, and perhaps rethink how we choose to use it.

What is True Power about?
True Power is an evidence-led re-examination of how power really works. It explores the difference between visible power, status, control and performance and the quieter forms of power built through trust, reputation, integrity and contribution that are more likely to endure.
How is True Power different from Robert Greene’s The 48 Laws of Power?
True Power does not reject Robert Greene’s study of power; it challenges what happens next. Where traditional power playbooks often focus on acquiring and maintaining power, True Power asks a different question: which forms of power actually last?
What is the difference between visible power and enduring power?
Visible power is the power we notice first: status, attention, control and proximity to influence. Enduring power is quieter. The book examines why power built through trust, reputation, integrity and contribution can survive long after visible power disappears.
Is True Power based on research or personal opinion?
Both research and real-world observation inform the book, but its major ideas are tested through three forms of evidence: modern psychology and behavioural research, historical figures and events, and recurring insights found across different wisdom traditions.
Why do powerful people lose power?
One of the central questions in True Power is why apparently powerful people, organisations and reputations can collapse so quickly. The book looks beyond how power is gained to examine what makes it structurally fragile—and what allows other forms of influence to survive.

Can power be used without manipulation?
That is one of the questions at the heart of the book. True Power examines whether trust, restraint, consistency, reputation and empowerment can create forms of influence that are ultimately more durable than fear, extraction or manipulation.
What does True Power say about reputation and influence?
The book treats reputation as a form of power built over time, often when nobody is watching. It also explores the idea that influence grows differently when it is given freely rather than constantly extracted or demanded.
What does legacy have to do with power?
Legacy is where the book ultimately lands. True Power asks what remains when status, wealth, attention and formal authority disappear—and explores the idea that the most durable form of power may be what survives you and continues to influence or empower others.
Who is True Power written for?
The book is deliberately written for everyone rather than for one gender, profession or type of leader. Its premise is that everyone has some form of power; the more important question is whether we recognise it, understand it and know how to use it. For SEO, these are substantially better than questions like “Where can I buy the book?” because they naturally contain phrases people may search around power, how power works, Robert Greene, 48 Laws of Power, manipulation, influence, reputation, leadership, enduring power and legacy without looking like you've stuffed keywords into the page. I would visually show perhaps 6 questions initially in an accordion, with “View all questions” revealing the remainder. That keeps the page elegant while giving Google the richer text underneath. And I would definitely include the Robert Greene question—it could become one of the most valuable search-entry points to the page because your outline explicitly positions True Power in conversation with his work.
